Full Electrical Refit in Home Renovation

We’re almost completed with a full electrical refit as part of a complete home renovation project, working closely with a local builder to bring everything together. The property has been completely transformed from top to bottom, with every room upgraded with new lighting, power layouts, and finishes designed to complement the home’s new look.

We’re almost completed with a full electrical refit as part of a complete home renovation project, working closely with a local builder to bring everything together. The property has been completely transformed from top to bottom, with every room upgraded with new lighting, power layouts, and finishes designed to complement the home’s new look.

Working with builders and other trades meant ensuring cables were in place before ceilings were plastered, extractor fans were vented correctly alongside plumbing works, and final fittings were completed in line with the builder’s schedule. Working collaboratively has kept the project on track and ensured every detail came together perfectly.

The work covered every part of the home. In the loft, we installed new LED lighting to create a bright, practical space. The top floor bathrooms and W/Cs were fitted with sleek LED downlights and timed extractor fans, improving both the style and comfort of the rooms.

On the first floor, the master ensuite was fully rewired with functional and feature lighting, including a niche light in the shower, toothbrush charger holders, and mains feeds for an illuminated mirror and electric underfloor heating. The light switch was relocated outside the bathroom for a more refined finish. The adjoining dressing area and master bedroom were updated with relocated switches, sockets, and pendant lighting to suit the new layout, while the other bedroom and its ensuite also benefited from new lighting, extractor fans, and additional sockets. Even the smaller first-floor W/C received a full lighting and ventilation upgrade.

Downstairs, the kitchen saw one of the biggest transformations. We have installed LED downlights, feature pendants above the island, LED strip lighting under units and around the island, and a new switching layout to bring everything together. The kitchen was also fitted with new sockets, appliance supplies, wall lights, and electric underfloor heating. The pantry and utility were updated with new lighting and power to match.

Across the ground floor, we relocated switches and sockets in the dining, sitting, and reception rooms to suit the new door layouts, and the porch was completed with a new pendant light and additional socket. Outside, we installed lighting at the front, rear, and garage doors, along with IP-rated outdoor sockets and path lighting, finishing off the exterior with both function and style.

The consumer unit (see our latest blog about what a consumer unit is here) has been upgraded and we have replaced every switch and socket throughout the property with beautiful Victorian Brass fittings, while the kitchen was finished in Victorian Chrome to complement its modern design.

We have the final few things to finish now and then we will be ready to hand the keys over – full photos to follow!
